Used Dodge Challenger, Phoenix, AZ

The Dodge Challenger was one of the more significant muscle cars in the 1960s-70s. Four decades later, the Challenger is still a hot car. Featuring styling cues similar to the original model and powerful engines, the new Challenger is still a true muscle car. But unlike its raw brawler of an older brother, today's Challengers is loaded with modern refinements.

The current Dodge Challenger was introduced in 2008 as the SRT8 only. In 2009, the SE and R/T trim levels arrived. You could also order a Challenger with a manual transmission. For 2009, for those who enjoyed the looks of a Challenger but didn't need a fire-breathing V-8 under the hood, the SE could be equipped with a 3.5-liter V6. In 2009, you could opt for a four-speed automatic or in 2010, a five-speed automatic. From 2008-2010, the SRT8 came with a nice 6.1-liter V8 good producing 425 hp.

For 2011, things improved considerably across the Challenger lineup as the base engine became the current, 305-horsepower V6. The SRT8 came with the current 6.4-liter monster. The latter also resulted in "392" being added to the car's name, as in 392 cubic inches. Significant upgrades also took place for the suspension, steering and brake systems, resulting in a wonderful car to drive.
